Whilst on a run Stuart, Jacob and I did the roost at Southwater CP again and caught 11 birds highlighting with a splendid male Linnet. Interestingly this is the first male that we have caught in this roost that has got any red markings on the breast (above) and an obvious moult contrast with two old greater coverts making it a 3 (below).
Elsewhere, I managed to find a male Firecrest at Warnham LNR by the visitor centre.
